Life After Birth

“Life After Birth”, is a 4 minute animation created for SBS Independent and the NSW Film and Television Office.

The story is about twins in a womb wondering if there is life after birth, in the same way we wonder if there is life after death. I created this over a year, in the spare room of our apartment, using a 16mm Bolex film camera, a reel-to-reel editing desk, cheap lights, handmade sets and keeping handwritten notes in an exercise book of what frame I was up. Incredibly long and hard work, but loved every minute of it!
