I was a finalist in the 66th Blake Prize, Sydney, with my painting Graffiti 1.

The work re-interprets Michelangelo’s creation of Adam painting from the Sistine Chapel, first by limiting the original to just the hands, and then by painting them as graffiti on a grey wall, then by adding further graffiti over Adam’s hand with the use of tagging, personal responses, scribbles and symbols.

The final graffiti captures something of my personal response to wonder and holding expectation of God.
